APPLICATION SERVICE ENGINEER

Informance International, a leading provider of Enterprise Software for Manufacturing Intelligence, is seeking a highly motivated field service professional. The company has offices in Redwood City, CA and Northbrook, IL.

Role Description

This person is primarily responsible for installation and field application support of the Informance solution. This includes system setup, installation and training. This person is also responsible for overall project management and coordination of any required Informance personnel, client and system integrator resources. In addition, this person is responsible for pre-implementation application design and post implementation documentation and support.

Technical aspects of the job includes configuration of OPC installations, limited programming to facilitate PLC implementation, and SQL server setup/configuration. In addition, this person will be advising the customer on optimal deployment scenarios and architecting the overall system solution. Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree minimum
• 2-5 years of Automation controls experience
• Software experience with HMI applications, HTML, Crystal Reports
• Database experience with Microsoft SQL
• Protocol experience with OPC, Ethernet, Devicenet and Profibus
• PLC hardware experience with a broad range of controllers such as Allen Bradley, GE Siemens, etc.
• Excellent customer facing skills
• Excellent project management skills
